Soludo Wins Anambra 2025 Election, Vows 'You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet'
Soludo Declared Winner of Anambra 2025 Governorship Poll

The political landscape of Anambra state has witnessed a decisive moment as Professor Charles Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has been officially declared the winner of the 2025 governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Landslide Victory Across All LGAs

In a remarkable display of political dominance, Professor Charles Soludo secured an impressive 422,664 votes, comprehensively defeating his closest rivals from major political parties. The former Central Bank of Nigeria governor achieved victory across all 21 local government areas in the southeastern state, demonstrating widespread support among Anambra voters.

The results announced on Sunday, November 9, 2025, showed Nicholas Nkachukwu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) trailing distantly with 99,445 votes, while Paul Chukwuma of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) managed 37,753 votes. Other candidates including John Nwosu of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), George Moghalu of the Labour Party (LP), and Jude Ezenwafor of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) scored 8,208, 10,576, and 1,401 votes respectively.

Soludo's Promise of Greater Achievements

Addressing his supporters shortly after the declaration, Governor Soludo expressed profound gratitude to the people of Anambra for renewing his mandate. In his characteristic confident manner, the re-elected governor declared, "You ain't seen nothing yet", promising that his second term would bring even more significant development to the state.

"We applied for this job. You employed us four years ago," Soludo told the enthusiastic crowd. "What I can say, as we stated throughout the campaign, is that you have not seen anything yet. Like the Americans would say 'You ain't seen nothing yet.' I want to say, with this trust, in partnership with you, we over the next four years can say loudly that we ain't seen nothing yet."

Official Declaration and Celebratory Atmosphere

The official declaration was made by the State Collation Officer and Vice Chancellor of the University of Benin, Professor Edogah Omoregie, who confirmed Soludo's overwhelming victory in the early hours of Sunday morning. Party agents present at the collation center duly signed the result sheets, formalizing the election outcome.

The announcement triggered widespread celebrations among APGA supporters across the state. However, the jubilation took a dramatic turn when a viral video showed police officers attached to Governor Soludo firing celebratory gunshots into the air shortly after the election results were declared.

This decisive victory reinforces APGA's stronghold in Anambra state and provides Professor Soludo with another four-year mandate to continue his development agenda for the southeastern state. The governor's background as a former CBN governor and economic expert had been central to his campaign, with voters apparently convinced that his leadership would bring continued economic growth and infrastructure development to Anambra.
