Anambra Decides 2025: Soludo Wins All 21 LGAs in Landslide Victory
Soludo Wins Anambra Governorship Election in Landslide

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially declared Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) as the winner of the Saturday, November 8, 2025 governorship election in Anambra State.

Landslide Victory Across Anambra

In a remarkable display of political dominance, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo secured victory in all 21 local government areas of Anambra State according to the final collated results. This sweeping victory grants Governor Soludo a fresh four-year term to continue his administration in Awka, the state capital.

The election results showed a clear margin of victory for the incumbent governor, with APGA securing 422,664 votes compared to APC's 99,445 votes, Labour Party's 10,505 votes, and PDP's surprisingly low 1,401 votes.

Nigerians React to Election Outcome

Following the official declaration by INEC, Nigerians took to various social media platforms to express their reactions to Soludo's re-election. The responses reflected the diverse political landscape of the country.

Twitter user @Ojukwu_Bianca celebrated the victory, writing: "IT'S OFFICIAL! APGA wins in ALL the 21 Local Governments of Anambra State. It's a LANDSLIDE! Thank you, good people of Anambra for keeping the faith! Congratulations, Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo, the Solution Governor."

However, not all reactions were positive. Mahdi Shehu expressed concerns about the electoral process, stating: "Anambra state governorship elections confirms the level of poverty and ignorance in Nigeria: When Gala junk snacks and N500 is enough to sway votes as it happened over the weekend in Anambra state, then forget democracy in Nigeria..."

Mixed Reactions and Electoral Integrity

The election results sparked debates about the integrity of the electoral process and the state of democracy in Nigeria. While some celebrated what they described as a well-deserved victory for a performing governor, others raised questions about voter turnout and alleged electoral malpractices.

User @afrisagacity commented: "The Anambra Election was Prof Amupitan's first test and he scored 100% for Tinubu's 'anointed,' Soludo, to prove his ability to deliver in 2027. Worst election Anambra has witnessed since the late Mbadinuju's tenure!"

Meanwhile, @Gviev offered enthusiastic support: "Up APGA!! Okokorokooooo! Governor Soludo the Solution beat that social media Governor into pulp. Imagine insulting him, a working Governor bcos of a political liliputian. Congratulations Ndi ikwu nne m, Ndi Anambra."

The election, conducted on November 8, 2025, and declared on November 9, 2025, marks another chapter in Anambra's political history, with Governor Soludo securing his position for another four-year term amid both celebration and controversy.
