Tinubu's SE projects give APC edge in 2027: Yilwatda

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, has declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s numerous infrastructure projects across the Southeast will give him a decisive advantage over other presidential candidates in the 2027 general election.

APC Mega Rally in Ebonyi

Yilwatda made this assertion on Monday at the Abakaliki Township Stadium during a mega rally organized by the Ebonyi State Government and the Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi. The event saw the adoption of President Tinubu and other APC candidates for the upcoming election. Yilwatda emphasized that no previous president has done as much for the Southeast as Tinubu, expressing confidence that the President will not only win Ebonyi State but the entire region.

Governor Nwifuru's Declaration

Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru, declared that the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has no place in the state in the next election. He highlighted key federal projects such as the dualisation of the Enugu-Abakaliki road, the Enugu-Onitsha expressway, the Enugu-Okigwe-Aba-Port Harcourt corridor, and the Calabar Super Highway connecting Ebonyi, Benue, Nasarawa, and Abuja. Nwifuru thanked the governors of Anambra, Imo, and Enugu states for their support of the President’s re-election bid.

Dismissing Concession Claims

Yilwatda dismissed rumors that Ebonyi had been conceded to the PDP, stating firmly that the APC will win all positions in the state. He said, “We will return President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Francis Nwifuru as Governor of Ebonyi State in 2027. We want to return all APC senators, members of the House of Representatives and House of Assembly candidates. Nobody has conceded Ebonyi to the PDP. There is no vacancy in Ebonyi State.”

Nwifuru's Vow

Governor Nwifuru reiterated that Ebonyi has no other presidential candidate apart from Tinubu, citing the President’s appointment of Senator David Umahi as Minister of Works as a sign of exceptional commitment to the state. He warned against those using the President’s name to create division, stating that Ebonyi is not for sale and that the people are united behind the APC.

Umahi's Endorsement

Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, praised Tinubu for his unprecedented projects in Ebonyi and the Southeast, calling the state a one-party state under Governor Nwifuru. He urged the people not to repeat past mistakes and to support the President’s re-election.
