US Doctor Declares for Ogun Governor 2027

A United States-based Nigerian medical doctor, Dr. Bolaji Odusina, has formally declared her intention to contest for the governorship of Ogun State in the 2027 elections under the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Declaration at Party Secretariat

Dr. Odusina made the declaration yesterday at the party's secretariat in Ijebu-Igbo. She stated that her decision to run for the state's highest office is driven by the need to address the infrastructural challenges facing the people of Ogun State.

12-Point Agenda Unveiled

The medical practitioner outlined a comprehensive 12-point agenda aimed at improving the quality of life for citizens. The agenda includes quality education, accessible healthcare, clean water, upgraded hospitals, insurance for all, job creation, modern infrastructure, agricultural revolution, security, transparent governance, improved power supply, and road network enhancement.

Dr. Odusina emphasized that her candidacy is not motivated by monetary gains but by a desire to introduce innovations that will ease the daily struggles of the people and enhance their living standards.

Statement from Dr. Odusina

In her address, she said: "I am Dr. Bolaji Marie Odusina, fondly called Dee Doc, a proud daughter of this great state. I have come to formally declare my intention to contest the 2027 Ogun State governorship election under the African Democratic Congress (ADC)."

"I come with a different approach, not as one seeking power for its own sake, but as a proven problem solver, innovator with clean hands and a clear record. I am not here to play politics or enrich myself. I am here to serve. I represent a new order; a new face, a new voice, and ready to multiply our resources through transparent partnerships and deliver sustainable progress for every family in Ogun State."

She further elaborated on her 12-point agenda: "I bring practical solutions through my 12-Point Agenda: quality education with free books and tech in every school; accessible healthcare with clean water, upgraded hospitals, and insurance for all; job creation that turns our youth into employers; modern infrastructure that works; agricultural revolution that feeds our people and creates wealth; security that protects every community; and transparent governance that puts you first."

Dignitaries Present

The event was graced by several party leaders and officials, including Hon. Adedeji Abiodun, Deputy State Chairman (who represented the State Chairman, Agbebiyi Olusoji); State Secretary, Chief Mrs. Irede Ogini; State Woman Leader, Chief Taiwo Akinlabi; and State Leader, among others. Also present were Bar. Femi Aina (State Legal Adviser); Hon. Z.O. Fayomi (Senatorial Chairman, Ogun West); Alhaji Adeleke Adesina (Chairman, Ogun East Senatorial District); Hon. Dr. Odusina's declaration marks the beginning of her political journey as she seeks to bring a new vision and leadership to Ogun State.
