Taraba honours Women Affairs Minister with special medallion

The Taraba State Ministry of Women Affairs and Child Development, in collaboration with the Legacy Gallery Project International Initiative, has honoured the Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, with a Special Commemorative Medallion. The presentation took place at the Government House Banquet Hall in Jalingo during the 26th National Council on Women Affairs, Child Advancement and Social Development.

Recognition of leadership and commitment

The organisers described the gesture as a recognition of the Minister's leadership and commitment to the advancement of women, children, families and social development in Nigeria. According to the Legacy Gallery Project International Initiative, the medallion was designed to symbolise appreciation for leadership and service, while preserving the significance of the Minister's visit to Taraba State.

The initiative said the presentation was aimed at transforming the occasion from a ceremonial welcome into a lasting memory that would celebrate contributions to women and child development. The Convener of the Legacy Gallery Project International Initiative and Chief Executive Officer of Skillful Impressive Enterprises, Jerry Uruku Irimiya, said the project was committed to recognising worthy leadership, preserving significant moments and celebrating service.

Jerry Uruku Irimiya stated that the honour reflected the importance of building a legacy that would extend beyond individual occasions and continue to inspire future generations. The initiative expressed appreciation to the Taraba State Ministry of Women Affairs and Child Development for supporting the presentation and creating a platform to recognise the Minister's contributions.

It added that the special medallion represented respect for leadership and commitment to building a more inclusive society where women and children were adequately supported and protected.

National Council on Women Affairs

The 26th National Council on Women Affairs, Child Advancement and Social Development brought together stakeholders to deliberate on issues affecting women, children and social development across the country. The Legacy Gallery Project described the presentation to Sulaiman-Ibrahim as a significant moment that would be preserved as part of the history of the council and the Minister's engagement in Taraba State.

The organisers said the Minister was not only welcomed to Taraba but was also welcomed into a lasting memory through the commemorative recognition.
