Several African countries are referred to posts in other nations: for instance, Benin, Burkina Faso, and Niger are directed to the US Embassy in Lome, Togo, while Cameroon, Chad, Gabon, and the Central African Republic use the Yaoundé post. Burundi, Eritrea, South Sudan, and Uganda are served by Kampala, Uganda.
Other notable referrals include Botswana, Comoros, Lesotho, Madagascar, Mozambique, Namibia, and Zambia, which are directed to Johannesburg, South Africa. Sierra Leone is referred to Monrovia, Liberia, while Libya uses Tunis, Tunisia. Sudan is served by Cairo, Egypt, and Somalia by Nairobi, Kenya.
