The Management Committee of the Federal Medical Centre United Staff (Abeokuta) Co-operative Multi-purpose Society Limited has formally cleared its President, Dr. Olusanjo Olugbenga Rotimi, of all allegations of fraud and financial impropriety. The allegations arose from a 2021 contractual engagement between the society and Whitehorse Capital Limited.
In a public notice issued yesterday, the society disclosed that the allegations were thoroughly investigated by its Investigative Committee. The committee reviewed relevant financial records, documents, and statements connected to the transaction. After a detailed examination, the committee found no evidence implicating Dr. Rotimi in any fraudulent activity or financial impropriety.
Investigation Findings
The committee specifically stated that there was no proof linking the co-operative president to acts of embezzlement, misappropriation of funds, or any form of financial misconduct in relation to the transaction under investigation. Consequently, the society formally cleared Dr. Rotimi of all allegations connected to the contractual relationship with Whitehorse Capital Limited.
Public Appeal
The society called on members of the public to disregard any rumours or publications suggesting otherwise. They urged the public to rely on the official findings and avoid spreading unverified information.
This development brings clarity to the controversy surrounding the co-operative's dealings and reaffirms the integrity of its leadership.
