Dahuwa's Reaction

When contacted in a telephone interview, the serving Senator representing Bauchi North, Samaila Kaila Dahuwa, insisted that the results announced in Bauchi about the senatorial elections were fake. He added, “There was an instruction by the National Secretariat of the APC that all election results shall be announced in Abuja, and those who announced the results are not the authentic members of the election committee.”

It will be recalled that Dahuwa was elected to the Senate under the banner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) but defected to the APC in 2025 and led the strong opposition under the APC Caucus against the planned defection of Governor Bala Mohammed into the APC.
