Pastor Hosanna David, founder of Eagle Eye Opener Global Outreach, has called on Nigerians to pray fervently for the nation ahead of the 2027 presidential election. In a video shared on his YouTube channel, the cleric revealed what he described as persistent divine messages concerning Nigeria's future and the outcome of the highly anticipated poll.
Prophetic Warnings and Urgent Prayers
Speaking from Warri, Delta State, Pastor David urged citizens to remain security conscious and not to place their trust solely in politicians. He stated that God told him, 'The tears of Nigerians have come up to me. Tell them that no politician can save them. They shall not be saved by their votes.' However, he clarified that this does not mean Nigerians should abstain from voting; rather, they should exercise their civic duty while relying on God.
Messages Concerning Leading Candidates
According to the pastor, on February 4, 2026, the Lord said that those promoting President Bola Tinubu for a second term would be disappointed. 'After everything, they shall be ashamed,' he quoted. He also referenced a message from February 1, 2026, stating that 'the prince from Mecca shall not rule over the land,' a cryptic reference widely interpreted as concerning the president.
Pastor David also described a vision where military personnel were on the streets instead of in the forest, indicating that 'the war shall be fought on the streets because the enemy is not in the forest.' He emphasized that God would fight against those who oppress the people and bring victory.
Symbolism and Secrecy
The clergyman noted that he was instructed to keep his prophecies confidential for security reasons, delivering them through symbolism. He said, 'He told me that I shouldn't explain this message in detail. I have a deep insight, but I don't want to be too explicit.'
He concluded by calling on Nigerians to pray for the country, as the 2027 election approaches. The leading candidates include President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Atiku Abubakar of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), and Peter Obi of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC). The race is expected to be highly competitive.
