Eighteen first-term governors elected under the All Progressives Congress (APC) are currently holding a closed-door meeting at the Kebbi State Government House. The session is chaired by Kaduna State Governor Senator Uba Sani, who also serves as the Vice Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF). The meeting was hosted by Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris.
Governors in Attendance
Governors from Sokoto, Kaduna, Jigawa, Plateau, Delta, Ekiti, Taraba, Ondo, Ebonyi, Akwa Ibom, Edo, Benue, Kogi, and Enugu states are among those present. However, the governors of Cross River, Niger, and Katsina states were absent but sent their apologies.
Purpose of the Meeting
The closed-door session is focused on discussing issues of common interest among the first-term APC governors. The meeting aims to foster collaboration and address challenges facing their respective states and the party at large.
