In a strategic move to fortify its administrative core, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, has approved the appointment of fifteen Special Advisers and Senior Special Assistants. The appointments, announced on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, are designed to enhance the ruling party's coordination, policy formulation, and overall stakeholder engagement.
Strengthening the Party's Secretariat
The decision was communicated via a statement issued by Hon. Mustapha Dawaki, the Chief of Staff to the national chairman. Dawaki explained that the new aides are expected to bring their vast experience and professionalism to support Chairman Yilwatda in executing his duties. The appointments take immediate effect and span critical areas including political strategy, legislative liaison, media relations, youth mobilisation, diaspora coordination, and security.
According to the party's leadership, this restructuring is a key part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the APC's national secretariat. The goal is to create a more robust framework for effective coordination, strategic planning, and meaningful engagement with various stakeholders across Nigeria and beyond.
