APC Youth League Takes Stand Against Unauthorized Coalition
The North West APC Youth League has publicly disassociated itself from what it describes as an unregistered coalition of All Progressives Congress support groups in Kebbi State. During a press briefing held in Kaduna on Wednesday, the league declared the coalition as "unregistered, unrecognised, and lacking legitimacy" within the ruling party's structure.
Strong Endorsement for Minister Bagudu
Comrade Aliyu Suleiman, the National Coordinator of the youth league, used the platform to reaffirm unwavering support for Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning. The youth leader praised Bagudu as an invaluable asset to the APC, the President, and the people of Kebbi State and the wider North West region.
Suleiman emphasized that the purported coalition had no structural foundation within the party system at any level - from ward to local government, state, or national. "This so-called coalition has never contributed to party activities, never mobilised a voter, and has no record of grassroots engagement," Suleiman stated firmly.
Call for Unity Behind Party Leadership
The youth group condemned what it characterized as attempts to sow division within the party and undermine its unity. Suleiman described the coalition's statements as reflecting the desperation of political opportunists seeking to destabilize progress achieved under Minister Bagudu's stewardship.
In his address, Suleiman urged party members and supporters to remain united behind Governor Nasir Idris, emphasizing that internal cohesion was crucial for sustaining the APC's developmental achievements in Kebbi State and beyond. The youth leader highlighted the party's successes in governance, infrastructure, and youth empowerment under current leadership.
The league praised Bagudu's approachable leadership style and his commitment to youth development and inclusive progress. They described his experience and vision as indispensable to both the APC and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration, urging members to focus on consolidating these achievements rather than being distracted by unfounded claims.
