Hon. Abdulkadir Olarewaju Oba-Aluko, the newly adopted consensus candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the Asa/Ilorin West Federal Constituency in the 2027 House of Representatives election, has extended his congratulations to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on his victory in the ADC presidential primaries.
In a statement released in Ilorin and made available to the press, Oba-Aluko dedicated his own emergence as consensus candidate to the trust placed in him by ADC stakeholders and members across Asa and Ilorin West. He commended the ADC leadership at the national, state, and local levels for conducting a transparent and credible primary process that produced the best candidates.
Oba-Aluko described Atiku's victory as a reflection of Nigerians' confidence in his experience, resilience, and commitment to democracy and national development. According to him, “Atiku’s victory at this critical time rekindles hope for millions of Nigerians who desire purposeful leadership and a nation that works for all citizens regardless of tribe, religion, or background.”
“As a believer in Nigeria’s future and the power of credible leadership, I am proud to align with His Excellency, Atiku Abubakar, on this journey. I pledge my full support for the ADC and will work tirelessly to deliver Asa/Ilorin West and contribute to the broader mission of building a safer, stronger, and more prosperous Nigeria,” he said.
Oba-Aluko assured his constituents of an issue-based grassroots campaign focused on quality representation, effective oversight, and projects that improve education, healthcare, youth empowerment, and economic opportunities. He urged all stakeholders and residents of Asa/Ilorin West to unite behind the ADC as the journey toward 2027 begins.
He prayed that Almighty Allah continues to guide, strengthen, and grant former Vice President Atiku wisdom as he carries the hopes and aspirations of millions of Nigerians.
