Ohanaeze, Enugu North Endorse Mbah, Tinubu for 2nd Term

Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the Enugu State chapter, has officially endorsed Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State for a second term in office. The endorsement came during an expanded stakeholders meeting held at Michael Okpara Square in Enugu on Saturday. The apex Igbo socio-cultural organization praised Mbah's visionary, pragmatic, and transformative leadership, urging all stakeholders and the people of Enugu State to rally behind him.

Recognition of President Tinubu

The meeting also acknowledged President Bola Tinubu's strategic projects, interventions, and appointments in the South-East region, particularly in Enugu State. The endorsement of both leaders reflects their positive impact on the zone.

Presentation of Ofo Symbol

During the event, Ohanaeze handed over the Ofo, a symbol of authority and justice, to Governor Mbah. The gathering brought together a diverse group of attendees, including leaders of thought, traditional rulers, market leaders, professionals, youth and women groups, and Presidents-General of town unions. Notable among them were the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Bianca Ojukwu, and the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Joahn Azuta-Mbata, who was represented by the President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Rivers State, Livingstone Wechie. Both praised Mbah's transformative leadership and endorsed his re-election.

Enugu North Senatorial District Rally

In addition, the Enugu North Senatorial District has announced a mega endorsement rally scheduled for May 2, 2026. The rally will honor Governor Mbah and President Tinubu in appreciation of their impactful leadership and contributions to the development of the zone. The event is expected to draw stakeholders from across the senatorial district and beyond, and will take place at the Nsukka Township Stadium at 10:00 a.m.

The organizers, led by the Chairman of the Central Planning Committee, Ikeje Asogwa, issued a statement saying the rally will also serve as a platform for the people of Enugu North Senatorial District, also known as Nsukka Zone, to reaffirm their resolve to support the re-election of both leaders in 2027.
