Following the success of the first leg of the national media tour, the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, in collaboration with the Presidential Media Team, will commence the South-East geo-political zone edition of the national media inspection of projects this weekend. The tour of legacy projects undertaken by President Bola Tinubu’s administration in the South-East zone is set to begin in Ebonyi State tomorrow and conclude in Imo State.
Five-Day Media Engagement
This five-day media engagement will bring together over 50 editors and journalists from across Nigeria for an extensive tour designed to showcase the achievements, ongoing projects, and developmental strides of President Tinubu’s administration under the Renewed Hope Agenda. Activities will include project inspections, stakeholder engagements, media interactions, and strategic discussions on national development.
States to Be Visited
The tour will cover all five South-East states: Ebonyi, Enugu, Anambra, Abia, and Imo. According to a statement released on Friday by the Director of Media and Publicity for the Renewed Hope Ambassador, Mr. Tunde Rahman, the Renewed Hope National Media Tour remains a unique platform for promoting factual reporting. He emphasized that physical presence at project sites is crucial for strengthening government-media relations and providing Nigerians with firsthand information on the impact of policies and programs being implemented across the country under the present administration.
Previous Tour Success
Mr. Rahman noted that the first leg of the tour, held earlier this year, took over 70 editors and government officials to the North-Western states. During that tour, they inspected legacy intervention projects such as the Kaduna-Kano-Katsina-Maradi railway project, the Kebbi corridor of the Sokoto-Badagry highway, the Abuja-Kaduna-Kano highway, the Kaduna Western Bypass, the irrigation project in Jigawa, and ecological intervention projects in the Wujuwuju-Jakara area of Kano, among others.
