In a significant move ahead of the national launch of the Federal Government's Ward Development Programme, President Bola Tinubu has named Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, as the new Director-General for Party Outreach, Engagement and Mobilisation.
The appointment, which was announced by the Presidency on Tuesday, 25th November 2025, takes immediate effect. Governor Uzodimma, who also chairs the Progressive Governors Forum, is now tasked with a dual role that positions him at the forefront of the administration's grassroots strategy.

He is expected to work closely with the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and state governors to champion the achievements and programmes of the Tinubu administration across all political structures. The governor will coordinate outreach efforts aimed at fostering harmony, inclusiveness, and strategic communication within the ruling party.
Furthermore, APC governors will serve alongside him as Ambassadors of Hope, reinforcing mobilisation efforts in their respective states and ensuring citizens better understand ongoing reforms and government priorities.
