President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has issued a powerful call for religious tolerance and protection, declaring that no Nigerian should ever face suffering for openly professing and practising their faith.

In his official 2025 Christmas goodwill message to the nation, delivered on Wednesday and released by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President extended festive greetings to Christians across Nigeria and the world. He framed the season as a time for reflection on the core messages of Christ: grace, hope, peace, and goodwill.
"My fellow Nigerians, as we mark this year’s Christmas, may the love of Christ and his message of grace, hope, peace, and goodwill to humanity abide with us all," President Tinubu stated. He emphasized that the celebration goes beyond festivities, serving as a reminder of Jesus Christ's role as the Prince of Peace and his message of salvation.
Commitment to Religious Freedom and Security
The President's address took a firm stand on the issue of religious liberty. "No one, regardless of ethnicity or belief, should be made to suffer for professing and practising his faith," he asserted. Tinubu pointed out that love for God and humanity forms the heart of all major faiths, and these shared values should unite Nigerians as one resilient people.
