The journey will commence in Borno State, where President Tinubu is scheduled to commission several development projects executed by the state government under Governor Babagana Zulum in collaboration with the Federal Government. His visit to Maiduguri will also include a personal engagement: attending the wedding ceremony of Sadeeq Sheriff, the son of former Borno Governor Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, who is set to marry Hadiza Kam Salem.
Condolence Visit and Holiday Engagements
From Maiduguri, President Tinubu will proceed to Bauchi State. The primary purpose of this leg of the tour is to offer condolences to the Bauchi State Government and the family of the late Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi. The revered Muslim cleric and leader of the Tijjaniyya Muslim Brotherhood passed away on November 27, 2025.
Following the solemn visit to Bauchi, the President will head to Lagos State to spend the upcoming end-of-year holidays. His stay in the commercial capital will feature several events, with a highlight being his role as the Guest of Honour at the Eyo Festival on December 27. The festival, to be held at Tafawa Balewa Square, will pay tribute to notable personalities, including the late Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji (President Tinubu's mother), former Governor Alhaji Lateef Jakande, and former Governor Chief Michael Otedola.
