The Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria has called on Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo to maintain his administration's focus on good governance and utilize his fresh electoral mandate to significantly improve the welfare and well-being of state residents.
Historic Electoral Victory
Governor Soludo secured a remarkable re-election victory on Sunday when the Independent National Electoral Commission declared him winner of the November 8 governorship election. Professor Edoba Omoregie, SAN, serving as the INEC Returning Officer, announced that the APGA candidate achieved an overwhelming victory across all 21 local government areas in the state.
The official results showed Soludo gathering 422,664 votes, far ahead of other contenders. The breakdown revealed the All Progressives Congress secured 99,445 votes, while the Young Progressives Party obtained 37,753 votes. The Labour Party received 10,576 votes, with other parties including ADC (8,208), PDP (1,401), AA (1,145), AAC (292), and ZLP (453) completing the tally.
Electoral data indicated that 598,229 voters were accredited from the 2,788,864 registered voters in the state. The election recorded 595,298 total votes cast, with 584,054 valid votes and 11,244 rejected ballots.
ACPN Extends Congratulations and Support
In an official statement released by Pharm. Ezeh Ambrose Igwekamma, the National Chairman of ACPN, the association extended warm congratulations to Governor Soludo's inner circle, specifically acknowledging the contributions of the Chief of Staff, the Aide-de-Camp, and the Special Adviser to the Governor on Medicals and Pharmaceuticals.
The ACPN leader praised the dedication and loyalty demonstrated by the governor's team, emphasizing that their strategic contributions and steadfast support played a crucial role in translating Soludo's development vision into tangible outcomes across Anambra State.
"Your collective commitment, discipline, and sense of purpose have continued to reflect in the outstanding performance and people-oriented governance of His Excellency," Igwekamma stated. "This victory is as much yours as it is his, a testimony that teamwork, vision, and integrity always prevail."
Commitment to Healthcare Collaboration
While offering prayers for continued strength and wisdom for the administration, the ACPN chairman reaffirmed the association's readiness to partner with the Anambra State Government in promoting better access to quality healthcare and pharmaceutical services for residents.
"As you continue to serve the good people of Anambra State, may this renewed mandate bring greater strength, wisdom, and opportunities to advance the progress and well-being of Ndi Anambra," Igwekamma added, highlighting the association's commitment to supporting the government's healthcare initiatives.
In related developments, the Nigerian Army has addressed circulating videos suggesting military involvement in electoral violence within Awka South Local Government Area. Lt Col Olabisi Ayeni, Acting Deputy Director of Army Public Relations for the 82 Division, clarified that videos from November 8, 2025, at Ukwu Oji Umubele in Awka Ward 5 were misrepresenting actual events that took place.
