Kaduna Christian Leaders Praise Governor Uba Sani's Fairness, Equity at State Carol
Christian Leaders Commend Uba Sani at Kaduna Christmas Carol

Christian leaders across Kaduna State have publicly commended Governor Uba Sani for his leadership style, highlighting his commitment to fairness, equity, and inclusive governance. The accolades were delivered during the annual Christmas carol event organized by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in collaboration with the Kaduna State Government on Sunday, December 23, 2025.

Church Leaders Laud Governor's Fulfilled Promises

Speaking at the event, Bishop Ademola Tinuoye, Chairman of the Pentecostal Bishops’ Forum (PBF), outlined the governor's key promises upon assuming office. He stated that Governor Sani had pledged fairness, equity, inclusiveness, and justice to the people of Kaduna.

"You have been fair in all your dealings and style of leadership," Bishop Tinuoye affirmed. He noted that the visible application of these principles has brought happiness to the people, referencing the biblical adage that "when the righteous rules, the people will rejoice." The Bishop also thanked the governor for fulfilling his promise to support the Christmas carol event, a gesture that has sparked widespread joy.

A Historic Gesture of Inclusivity and Interfaith Harmony

Reverend Amos Kiri, President of the United Church of Christ, expressed profound appreciation for the governor's personal attendance with his entire cabinet. He described the act as a powerful demonstration of love, peace, and inclusivity in governance.

"Over the years, as Christians in Kaduna State, we have not had the privilege to have our own governor come in the midst of a Christian program as you have demonstrated," Reverend Kiri explained. He emphasized that the presence of adherents of other faiths transformed the event into a true interfaith celebration, for which the Christian community was deeply grateful.

Bringing Back the Kaduna of Old: A Model for Nigeria

Reverend Tunde Bolanta, the Apostolic Overseer of Restoration Ministries Worldwide, added a nostalgic perspective. Identifying as a "Kaduna Boy" from Tudun Nupawa, he recalled the harmonious coexistence of the 1960s and 70s.

"I remember during Sallah, we go to our Muslim brothers, and we eat all the meat. During Christmas too, our homes are filled, and we eat the same meat," he reminisced. Reverend Bolanta asserted that Governor Uba Sani's actions are "bringing back the old times" and building bridges. He boldly declared that the governor is showing the way for the future of the entire nation, urging Nigeria to pay attention to Kaduna's example of unity.

All leaders pledged continued prayers for Governor Sani, describing him as a leader for all citizens and crediting his equitable project execution across the state as a cornerstone for sustained peace and progress.
