Kogi Traditional Rulers Applaud Governor Ododo for Strengthened Security in Lokoja Area

Traditional rulers and community leaders from Kupa, Kakanda, Oworo, and Eggan communities in Lokoja Local Government Area of Kogi State have expressed commendation for Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, citing significant improvements in security across the region. The leaders delivered their praise during a meeting with the governor, where they acknowledged the administration's dedicated efforts to combat insecurity, particularly in the challenging terrains of Lokoja II Constituency.

In his opening remarks, the Executive Chairman of Lokoja Local Government Area, Hon. Abdullahi Adamu, praised Governor Ododo for his unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of residents. He noted that proactive security measures implemented by the governor have effectively restored public confidence, fostering a more secure environment for daily activities.

Speaking on behalf of the traditional rulers, the Maiyaki of Kupa Land, His Royal Highness Alhaji Dauda Kabir Isa, lauded the governor for successfully dislodging bandits and other criminal elements from affected communities. "We commend your resolute efforts in securing our communities. Your actions have restored a sense of safety that many families had lost," he stated. "With your support for security agencies and community policing, farmers can return to their fields, traders can move freely, and children can attend school without fear. Peace is the most valuable gift you have given us."

Appeals for Infrastructure and Development Support

The royal father also appealed to Governor Ododo to prioritize the reconstruction of the Jamata–Budan–Abugi–Eggan road, emphasizing that improved accessibility would further drive development in the area. He expressed appreciation for ongoing infrastructural projects across Kogi State, highlighting the governor's broader commitment to enhancing living standards.

Additionally, the Director-General of the Kogi State Bureau of Public Procurement, Barrister Sunday Ehimoni, noted that the governor's policies have positively impacted the welfare of the Oworo people. He specifically mentioned advancements in healthcare, education, and general well-being as key areas of improvement under Ododo's leadership.

The member representing Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives highlighted various projects facilitated to the area and pledged additional logistical support to strengthen security measures. Similarly, the Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon.
