The Akwa Ibom State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA), Prince Ikim, has called for greater unity, discipline and coordinated grassroots mobilisation among support groups to strengthen advocacy for the Renewed Hope Agenda and ongoing reforms of the Bola Tinubu administration.
Call for Coordinated Efforts
Ikim made the call on Friday while receiving members of the Tinubu Torchbearers during a courtesy visit to the Renewed Hope Ambassadors Campaign Headquarters along Udo Udoma Avenue in Uyo. The delegation was led by the State Coordinator of the Tinubu Torchbearers, Mrs Inyene Bassey, alongside other members of the group’s leadership.
Speaking during the visit, Ikim commended the delegation for its commitment to grassroots mobilisation and public engagement, describing such efforts as vital to promoting awareness of government policies and programmes. He said support groups have an important role to play in communicating government initiatives, encouraging civic participation and strengthening public confidence in governance.
Reforms Under President Tinubu
According to him, the country is currently undergoing significant reforms under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu aimed at economic stabilisation, institutional strengthening and long-term development. “Today, Nigeria is on the path of transformation under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Bold and strategic reforms are being implemented to stabilise the economy, strengthen institutions, create opportunities for citizens and lay the foundation for long-term prosperity,” he said.
Ikim also acknowledged the contributions of the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for her advocacy on women’s empowerment and inclusive participation in governance and national development. At the state level, he praised Governor Umo Eno for implementing the ARISE Agenda, which he said has contributed to infrastructure development, economic empowerment and social welfare initiatives across Akwa Ibom State.
One Party, One Message
The RHA coordinator stressed the need for support groups to operate within a coordinated framework that promotes discipline and a unified message. “As Renewed Hope Ambassadors, we are guided by a clear principle of one party, one message and one mobilisation framework. This principle reflects our commitment to unity, discipline and strategic engagement,” he said. He urged members of the Tinubu Torchbearers to continue engaging citizens through constructive dialogue, factual communication and responsible advocacy.
Tinubu Torchbearers' Commitment
Earlier, Mrs Bassey said the Tinubu Torchbearers was established to mobilise support for President Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Governor Umo Eno and other candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC), while promoting the policies and achievements of the current administration ahead of the 2027 general elections. She described the visit as an opportunity to deepen collaboration with the Renewed Hope Ambassadors and reaffirm the group’s commitment to advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Also speaking, the Director-General and State Woman Leader of the Tinubu Torchbearers, Obongawan Obonodo Uko, highlighted the role of women in grassroots mobilisation and voter education. She pledged wider community outreach efforts and commended Prince Ikim for what she described as his leadership, accessibility and contributions to strengthening support for the Renewed Hope movement in Akwa Ibom State. Members of the delegation also described him as a committed stakeholder whose efforts have contributed to advancing the Renewed Hope message and grassroots engagement within the state.
