DNKI Denounces Jos Massacre, Urges Immediate Action Against Culprits
The International President of De Norsemen Kclub International (DNKI), Chief Oliver Patrick, has issued a strong condemnation of the horrific killings in Jos, Plateau State, which resulted in the tragic loss of at least 28 innocent lives on Palm Sunday. In a statement released by the organization, Chief Patrick described the incident as barbaric, senseless, and a severe affront to humanity, expressing profound outrage over the ongoing violence that continues to claim innocent lives across Nigeria.
Call for Justice and Government Accountability
According to the statement signed by Publicity Secretary Mr. Darlington Anugom, DNKI emphasized that such acts of violence, especially on a sacred day observed by Christians globally, represent not only an attack on human life but also a direct violation of the core values of peace, tolerance, and coexistence that are essential for national unity. Chief Patrick called upon both the Federal Government and the Plateau State Government to take decisive action by ensuring that the perpetrators of this heinous crime are swiftly identified, apprehended, and prosecuted in full accordance with the law.
He stressed that justice must be transparently administered to restore public confidence and serve as a deterrent against future atrocities. Furthermore, he urged security agencies to enhance their efforts in intelligence gathering, surveillance, and rapid response capabilities in Jos and other vulnerable communities nationwide. Proactive and coordinated security measures, he noted, are critical to preventing similar tragedies and safeguarding the lives and property of all citizens.
Humanitarian Response and Constitutional Concerns
As a humanitarian organization dedicated to promoting peace, justice, and human dignity, DNKI expressed deep sorrow over the incident.
