Bayern Munich forward Jamal Musiala has publicly disclosed his medical diagnosis after collapsing for the second time in three days, confirming he is doing well and that the condition is treatable.
Second Collapse in Three Days
Musiala collapsed during Bayern Munich's match against Heidenheim, just eight minutes after coming on as a substitute. This incident followed an earlier collapse in Bayern's 3-1 victory over RB Leipzig, where medical checks had returned no concerning findings, and he was cleared to continue training.
After the Heidenheim match, Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl declined to answer questions from the media. According to iMiaSanMia, Eberl told reporters that any update on Musiala's condition would come directly from the player rather than the club.
Musiala's Instagram Statement
Musiala took to Instagram to address the situation personally. He wrote: "First things first - I'm doing well! Above all, I'm incredibly grateful for all your messages and your support."
He explained the diagnosis behind both incidents: "I have been diagnosed with brief, temporary episodes of absence that are easily treatable and are caused by a neurological dysfunction. These can lead to the moments that have occurred recently, such as against Leipzig and now in Heidenheim."
Cause of First Collapse
Legit.ng previously reported that Musiala's first collapse was attributed to sweltering heat during the Telekom Cup match against RB Leipzig, with temperatures around 33 degrees Celsius in Munich, leading to dehydration.
The 22-year-old forward of Nigerian heritage is expected to rest before returning to training ahead of the 2026/27 Bundesliga season.
