According to preliminary reports, the altercation began when the suspect allegedly entered the victim's farm with the intention of stealing bananas. The disagreement quickly escalated, leading to a violent confrontation in which the farmer was struck with a machete. The attack proved fatal, and Adeniyi died at the scene.
