The Imo State Police Command has invited owners of about 450 recovered motorcycles, suspected to have been stolen or snatched, to come forward with proof of ownership for identification and collection.

Police Statement on Unclaimed Motorcycles

The command’s spokesperson, DSP Henry Okoye, in a statement on Monday evening, recalled that on April 6, 2026, the police had notified the public about the recovery of the motorcycles and the arrest of some suspects, noting that many of the exhibits remain unclaimed in police custody.

“The Imo State Police Command, further to its earlier press release issued on April 6, 2026 on the recovery of over 450 motorcycles suspected to be stolen, wishes to reiterate that a significant number of these exhibits remain unclaimed and are currently in Police custody pending proper identification by their rightful owners.
