A Senior Magistrate Court in Kano has ordered the remand of a private school teacher, identified only as Uncle Kamal, for allegedly sexually abusing four minor girls. The victims are seven-year-old Hassana, Hussaina, and Gambo, as well as their five-year-old sister. According to LIB, the four sisters, who share the same mother, attend Al-Hadeed Private School in Ungogo Local Government Area of Kano State.
Details of the Alleged Abuse
Prosecution counsel Badamasi Gandu informed the court that the children's mother first noticed one of her daughters bleeding from her private part. Upon questioning, all four girls alleged that their school teacher had been sexually abusing them. Gandu stated that medical reports confirmed the children had been sexually assaulted before the suspect was arraigned.
Court Proceedings
The presiding magistrate ordered the teacher's remand and adjourned the matter until June 6 for continuation of the case. The suspect remains in custody pending further legal proceedings.
