Commissioner Discloses Details on Social Media

The state Commissioner of Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, disclosed this development on the social media platform X. He provided detailed information about the raid, emphasizing the government's commitment to public safety. According to Wahab, the arrested suspects consist of sixty-eight males and seven females, highlighting the diverse nature of the criminal elements operating in the region.

Illicit Drugs Recovered During Operation

Officer Injured in Violent Attack

In a distressing turn of events, one of the taskforce officers, Inspector Omosanjo Mohamed, was violently attacked by hoodlums during the exercise. He sustained a serious head injury and is currently receiving medical treatment. Commissioner Wahab condemned the attack, stating, "Let me state clearly: attacks on law enforcement officers carrying out lawful duties will not be tolerated."

Wahab reiterated the government's resolve to ensure that all suspects arrested during the raid will face the full weight of the law.
