Ogun State Police Arrest Man for Double Murder Over Failed Business Deal
Detectives from the Ajuwon Division of the Ogun State Police Command have apprehended a 25-year-old man, Abubakar Musa, accused of committing a violent attack that resulted in the deaths of two individuals and left three others critically injured in Olámbe, Ogun State. The incident, which police describe as stemming from a failed business arrangement, unfolded when the suspect allegedly turned on victims who were attempting to pacify him during a dispute.
Details of the Tragic Incident
According to official reports, the attack occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at approximately 1:38 AM. Abubakar Musa is alleged to have used a knife to stab five people during the altercation. Two of the victims, identified as Gbadamasi Ibrahim, aged 25, and Chinedu, aged 40, succumbed to their injuries while being transported to a medical facility. A doctor later confirmed their deaths at the hospital.
The other three victims—Mohammed Abubakar, 35; Ashiru Adamu, 25; and Paul Lawrence, 25—are currently in critical condition but are reported to be responding to treatment. Following the assault, the suspect fled the scene but was subsequently tracked down and arrested by police detectives.
Police Response and Investigation
DSP Babaseyi Oluseyi, the spokesperson for the Ogun State Police Command, confirmed the arrest and provided details of the case. He stated that the suspect is now in police custody and has been transferred, along with the case file, to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for a thorough investigation and potential prosecution.
