Man charged with harassment for threatening Andrew

A 39-year-old man has been charged after Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was allegedly threatened in a village near his residence in Norfolk. Alex Jenkinson has been charged with two counts of harassment following an incident in Wolferton, according to Norfolk Constabulary.

The 66-year-old former royal, currently living at Marsh Farm on King Charles' private Sandringham estate after moving from Royal Lodge in Windsor, was reportedly the target of the intimidation.

Police officers responded to a report of a man behaving in an intimidating manner in the village shortly after 7:30 PM on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. The 39-year-old suspect was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence and possession of an offensive weapon, and was taken to King's Lynn Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

Jenkinson has since been charged with two counts of using threatening, abusive, or insulting words or behaviour to harass someone or cause alarm or distress. He also faces an additional charge of failing to provide a specimen of blood while in custody.

Jenkinson, from Stowmarket, Suffolk, has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear at Norwich Magistrates Court on Friday.

A Norfolk Constabulary spokesperson confirmed the details, stating: 'Officers were called shortly after 7.30pm yesterday (Wednesday 6 May 2026) following a report a man was behaving in an intimidating manner in the village. Officers attended, and the man was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence and possession of an offensive weapon. He was taken to King’s Lynn Police Investigation Centre for questioning. Alex Jenkinson, aged 39 and of Stowmarket, Suffolk, has since been charged with two counts of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to harass someone or cause alarm or distress and failing to provide a specimen of blood in custody. He has been remanded into custody and is due to appear at Norwich Magistrates Court tomorrow.'
