Man laments wife disappeared with children six months ago

A Nigerian man, Uzoma Samuel Anyanwu, has publicly lamented that his wife left their home six months ago, taking their two children with her, and that all efforts to locate them have been unsuccessful.

In a Facebook post on Thursday, July 9, 2026, Uzoma claimed he has been denied communication and access to his children despite involving the police and legal institutions. He described the ordeal as leaving him in "dire pain."

The Disappearance

According to Uzoma, his ordeal began in January 2026 when he returned home from work to find that his wife and children had left. All attempts to reach her have been futile. He noted that involving the police has only made the process slower and more costly.

“Public Notice !!! The one I loved and building our beautiful lives together has decided to part ways with me,” he wrote. “This happened in January this year 2026. Six months has passed no traces of her reconsidering the actions she took.”

Emotional and Financial Toll

Uzoma expressed deep frustration, stating, “I am in dire pain these days, I have endured for some months thinking I can get over this whole mess gradually or resolve the issue within the family. The more I engage the Police and Law institution, the slower and more costly it becomes to locate my children or get justice.”

He also accused his wife's family of showing no responsibility, suggesting that the situation resembles “an organized adoption of my children between her and some family members, reasons she has yet to tell.”

Details of the Incident

Uzoma recounted the day of the disappearance: “In January my wife left our home with our two children David and Obinna till date all efforts to reach her seems too difficult or impossible. On that day she called and asked if I was coming back already because she knew I went to do some work at Ikeja and my return could be in the evening which I confirmed to her. By the time I got home in the evening I met the house scattered lots of things not in place, it looks like a joke until the following day I can't still find them even from neighborhood.”

He ended his post with a plea: “I NEED REAL HELP ... Six months plus I haven't seen my children.”
