A young woman who was reported missing in Alabama for more than a week has been discovered dead, and a man has been formally charged in connection with the case.
Victim Identified
Local authorities have identified the deceased as Karen Deann Hollis, 23, who was last seen on May 8. Her disappearance prompted immediate concern from loved ones, who feared for her safety due to a medical condition that could impair her judgment, according to relatives.
Body Discovered
Law enforcement officials confirmed that Hollis's body was found on Saturday, May 16. As of now, few details have been released regarding the circumstances of her death, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Randall Lendell Dejourney, 44, has been charged with abuse of a corpse in relation to Hollis's death. Jail records indicate that Dejourney is being held at the Tuscaloosa County Jail on a $15,000 cash bail.
