Ram Dealers Call for Prompt Salary Payment

Meanwhile, as Muslim faithful prepare for this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, ram dealers have urged all levels of government to expedite the payment of May salaries to boost patronage. A ram seller in Ilorin, Olarewaju Taofeeq, noted that ram prices have risen due to increased transport costs and feed prices. He stated that prices range from N150,000 to N500,000 and up to N1,000,000. However, he expressed optimism that sales would improve before the celebration if salaries are paid on time.
