Troops of Sector 3, Operation Enduring Peace have apprehended a 27-year-old suspected criminal logistician accused of providing support services to kidnapping and militia gangs operating in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Arrest Details
The suspect, identified as Kabiru Usman, was taken into custody at approximately 7:15 p.m. on May 21, 2026, following credible intelligence from informants. The troops intercepted him along the road near Dong-Rantya Roundabout while he was returning from the Bukuru cattle market.
Alleged Activities
According to security sources, the suspect is believed to specialize in buying and selling stolen items, including motorcycles and mobile phones, that were looted during kidnapping operations and criminal attacks within the area.
