WWE Star Ludwig Kaiser Arrested for Allegedly Assaulting Neighbor Over Elevator Kiss
WWE professional wrestler Ludwig Kaiser, whose real name is Marcel Barthel, was taken into custody in Florida on Wednesday after allegedly attacking a neighbor during a dispute that police say originated from inappropriate conduct inside an elevator.
According to a police report obtained by TMZ, Kaiser was arrested on a misdemeanor battery charge following an incident at a luxury apartment complex in Orlando. The altercation reportedly occurred on the night of April 23 when Kaiser, his girlfriend, and a neighbor entered an elevator together in the building where both men reside.
As the elevator ascended, Kaiser and his girlfriend began kissing, with authorities describing the behavior as becoming increasingly intimate in the presence of the neighbor. When the elevator reached the 12th floor, the neighbor allegedly asked the couple to please have some manners.
That comment reportedly enraged Kaiser, who police say then attacked the neighbor, shoving him to the ground. Authorities further allege that Kaiser threatened the man during the confrontation. The neighbor later reported the incident to law enforcement.
Investigators stated that security footage from the building helped identify the wrestler, leading to his arrest on a warrant this week. Kaiser was booked into the Orange County Jail but was later released after posting $1,000 bail.
