Israel to Continue Iran Military Operations for Minimum Three More Weeks
The Israel Defense Forces has officially declared its intention to extend its military campaign against Iran for a minimum of three additional weeks. This announcement comes as tensions between the two nations continue to escalate dramatically across the Middle East region.
Thousands of Targets Remain as Operations Intensify
According to Israeli military statements, thousands of targets still remain as operations intensify with the specific aim of weakening Iran's military infrastructure and capabilities. IDF spokesperson Effie Defrin provided detailed insights during an interview with CNN on Sunday, revealing that the military has comprehensive long-term operational plans already firmly in place.
"We have thousands of targets ahead," Defrin stated emphatically. "We are ready, in coordination with our US allies, with plans through at least the Jewish holiday of Passover, about three weeks from now. And we have deeper plans for even three weeks beyond that."
Extensive Strike Operations Since Campaign Began
The IDF reports that since the initiation of the Iran campaign on February 28, the Israeli Air Force has executed approximately 400 waves of strikes concentrated in western and central Iran. These military operations have specifically focused on dismantling critical infrastructure and targeting operatives directly involved in Iran's military, defense, and weapons production units.
Israeli officials confirm that the United States and Israel have already struck thousands of targets since the conflict began, marking what analysts describe as one of the most intense periods of military confrontation between the two nations in recent years.
Strategic Objectives Over Timetables
Defrin emphasized that the military campaign is not being conducted under strict time pressure but is instead strategically focused on achieving specific objectives. "We are not working according to a stopwatch, or a timetable, but rather to achieve our goals," he explained clearly.
He further elaborated that Israel's primary objective remains significantly weakening the Iranian government and its military capabilities. This comes amid growing international fears that the conflict could potentially expand further across the volatile Middle East region, creating broader regional instability.
