The attack occurred at approximately 2:20 a.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2026, when terrorists attempted to ambush special forces troops conducting clearance operations in the Sambisa forest. The troops, demonstrating exceptional readiness and tactical prowess, engaged the attackers in a fierce firefight, successfully repelling the assault without sustaining any casualties.
According to official reports, no soldiers were killed or wounded during the encounter, and no military equipment was damaged. This outcome underscores the high level of training and operational effectiveness maintained by the forces in the region.
Exploitation and Recovery Operations
