The Ogun State Police Command has launched an investigation into the arrest of two male suspects by personnel of the Nigeria Forest Security Service. The incident occurred in the Atiba area of Ijebu-Ode during a security operation on Thursday, June 4, 2026.

DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, spokesperson for the command, confirmed the development in a statement. He noted that investigations are ongoing to establish the identities of the suspects and determine the circumstances surrounding their activities in the area.
“The Ogun State Police Command has commenced an investigation following the apprehension of two male suspects by personnel of the Nigeria Forest Security Service in the Atiba area of Ijebu-Ode on Thursday, June 4, 2026,” the statement read.
