A Nigerian man who previously practiced Islam has shared his emotional response to the disturbing video of the recent church attack in Kwara State. The violent incident occurred during a service at a CAC Church in Eruku, located in the Ekiti local government area.
The Tragic Incident That Shook a Community
Armed assailants stormed the church premises while worshippers were gathered for service, creating panic and chaos among congregants. According to eyewitness accounts and video evidence, shots were fired directly inside the church building, forcing church members to scramble for safety in what should have been a sacred space.
The attack resulted in multiple kidnappings, with the perpetrators now demanding a staggering ransom of 3 billion naira for the safe return of captured church members. This devastating event has added to the growing security concerns across Nigeria.
Former Muslim's Emotional Observations
Musa BM Azzaman, identified through his Facebook profile, watched the attack footage and shared what he described as heartbreaking observations. In his social media post, he expressed particular distress about one specific moment from the video.
"The part that broke me the most was this elderly woman trying to escape with a walking stick," he wrote. "She couldn't even run. She was just struggling to walk while chaos was happening around her."
His emotional response highlights the vulnerability of innocent civilians caught in such violent situations, regardless of their religious background or physical capabilities.
Critical Questions About Weapon Sources
The former Muslim worshipper raised serious concerns about the origin of weapons used in such attacks, questioning how terrorists acquire sophisticated arms that even Nigeria's military forces lack.
"Without anyone sponsoring them, I'm not sure if they can have access to the weapons they are using that even the military doesn't have," he stated emphatically in his Facebook post.
He directly accused certain government officials and individuals of being behind the sponsorship of these terrorist groups, calling for them to be "fished out to face the full wrath of the law."
His message concluded with a prayer for divine intervention: "Dear Father in Heaven, we pray that you have mercy upon Nigeria and restore peace in it in the name of Jesus Christ, glorified name. Amen."
The former Muslim also urged fellow Nigerians to remain vigilant during what he described as one of the most dangerous phases in the country's history, emphasizing that pretending otherwise won't change the reality of the security situation.
