The club will honor its captain, Stephen Ebaretonbofa, with a prestigious 50th birthday Pro/Am invitational golf tournament, bringing together comrades and enthusiasts for a week of sport and camaraderie.
A Celebration of Milestones and Fairway Friendships

Anticipated to feature over 250 golfers from various clubs across Nigeria, the event highlights Ebaretonbofa's contributions and leadership within the golfing community.
Six Days of Diverse Golfing Action
The tournament, which commenced yesterday and runs through March 28, 2026, kicked off with a dedicated BCGS Special Ladies Outing, setting a festive and inclusive tone for the week. The schedule is packed with diverse events designed to engage all participants:
- Today: An open round for caddies from Edo and Delta States, recognizing their crucial role in the game and the captain's mentorship.
- Tomorrow and Thursday: Professional competitions featuring top Nigerian stars and invited professionals from renowned clubs such as Ikoyi Golf Club, Lakowe Lakes Golf Club, Ikeja Golf Club, IBB Golf Country Club, TYB Golf Club, Python Golf Club, Ilorin Golf Club, Ibori Golf and Country Club, Sapele Athletic Golf Club, Ogunnu Golf Resorts, Ibom Golf and Country Club, UBTH Golf Club, and BCGS.
- Friday: Contests for men's handicap 13–28, ladies handicap 29–36, along with all veterans and super veterans.
- Saturday: The grand finale includes championship flights and guests, featuring men's handicap 1–12, ladies handicap 1–28, and all invited guests for the closing round. The event concludes with a prize presentation and dinner at 6:00 pm in the BCGS pavilion.
