Now, another Tanzanian side has entered the picture. Azam FC have emerged as a strong contender, and they are not just observing the situation from a distance. Azam's interest is driven by more than just squad depth, as the club has been trying to re-establish itself at the top of Tanzanian football since their last league title in the 2013/14 season.
