The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season is set to conclude this weekend, with Warri Wolves FC and several other clubs locked in a fierce battle to avoid relegation. Warri Wolves are scheduled to host Abia Warriors at Ozoro in a match that will be played behind closed doors due to an order from the league management. Despite the absence of home supporters, Onoriode Oborevwori, Chairman of the Delta Sports Commission, has voiced strong belief in the team's capabilities.

Oborevwori Expresses Confidence in Warri Wolves

“The players and their coaches understand that anything short of a victory might not be favorable for us,” Oborevwori stated in an interview with The Guardian. “I have faith in them, and our hope is that they secure the result we require.”

Rivers United Governor Approves Free Entry for Final Match

In other NPFL developments, Rivers State Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara has authorized free admission for fans attending Rivers United's final fixture of the season. The Pride of Rivers will take on Katsina United in a decisive Matchday 38 clash on Sunday at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt, with kick-off scheduled for 4:00 PM. Through the Ministry of Sports, Governor Fubara directed that the stadium gates be opened to the public, enabling supporters from across the state to witness what could be a historic day for the club.

Free Shuttle Services to Facilitate Fan Attendance

To further ease transportation for fans, free shuttle buses will operate from designated pickup points across Port Harcourt starting at 12:30 PM, with departures to the stadium set for 2:30 PM. The designated pickup locations include U.S.T Convocation Arena, UNIPORT Market Square, Mile 3 by Ikoku Flyover, Mile 1 by Education Bus Stop, Sharks Stadium (two buses), Yakubu Gowon Stadium (two buses), Rumuomasi Market Junction, and Rumuola by Aba Roundabout.

Rivers United enter the final game with an opportunity to clinch the NPFL title. A victory over Katsina United, combined with a favorable result for Ikorodu City in Lagos, would crown the Port Harcourt-based side as champions of Nigeria.
