Supercomputer Predicts Arsenal to Retain Premier League Title in 2026/27
Supercomputer Tips Arsenal for Premier League Repeat

A supercomputer has released its early predictions for the 2026/27 Premier League season, just days after Arsenal clinched the 2025/26 title, ending a 22-year drought. The Gunners, under Mikel Arteta, finished seven points clear of Manchester City and now enter a season as defending champions for the first time since 2004/05.

Arsenal Favorites to Repeat

According to simulations reported by UK Metro, Arsenal are tipped to retain the crown with 86 points. The supercomputer analyzed factors such as player quality, manager quality, historical trends, and recent form. Manchester City, without Pep Guardiola, are predicted to finish second under new manager Enzo Maresca, the former Chelsea boss. Liverpool are projected third, despite a disappointing title defense under Arne Slot and the likely departure of Mohamed Salah.

Manchester United and Chelsea Rise

Manchester United are forecast to finish fourth as Michael Carrick prepares for his first full season after taking over from Ruben Amorim. Chelsea, who finished 10th this season, are expected to climb to fifth under Xabi Alonso, aided by the absence of European football. Aston Villa are predicted sixth, followed by Tottenham Hotspur in seventh under Roberto De Zerbi.
