Digital Infrastructure Stakeholders Meet in Abuja for IT Conference

The Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr Bosun Tijani, is among key figures as government officials, technology executives, regulators, and other professionals prepare to explore practical strategies for enhancing Nigeria’s digital public infrastructure agenda. The goal is to strengthen governance efficiency, improve security and service delivery, and drive economic growth.

IT Governance Conference 2026

Stakeholders will converge in Abuja on July 15, 2026, for the annual IT Governance (ITGOV) Conference. The event is organized by Tranter IT Infrastructure Services Limited and powered by ManageEngine. The theme is 'Building Nigeria’s Digital Public Infrastructure for Economic Growth, Security and Governance Efficiency'. This comes as the Federal Government rolls out its Digital Public Infrastructure framework, deploying the Nigerian Data Exchange and integrating national identity systems across multiple sectors.

According to the organizers, the focus has shifted from whether Nigeria should build digital public infrastructure to ensuring that the institutions responsible for delivering it are aligned, equipped, and making informed decisions to support national development objectives.

Keynote and Panel Discussions

Speaking ahead of the event, the Chief Executive Officer of Tranter IT Infrastructure Services Limited, Dr Emmanuel Ayoola, stated that the country has entered a decisive phase in its digital transformation journey. The one-day programme will feature keynote addresses, fireside discussions, and a panel session involving senior public sector officials, technology leaders, and policy experts.

Ayoola explained that discussions are expected to focus on practical strategies for strengthening governance, enhancing security, and improving service delivery through digital infrastructure. He noted that the company’s longstanding work with institutions undergoing digital transformation has provided valuable insights into the governance, operational, and technology challenges that must be addressed for digital public infrastructure to succeed.
