Nvidia Reports Record $57B Revenue as AI Chip Demand Soars
Nvidia posts $57B revenue amid AI chip demand surge

Nvidia Corporation has delivered exceptional financial performance that exceeded market expectations, driven by what company executives describe as "off the charts" demand for artificial intelligence chips worldwide.

Record-Breaking Financial Performance

The technology giant reported staggering numbers for its recent quarter, achieving a profit of $31.9 billion on record-high quarterly revenue of $57 billion. This remarkable performance sent Nvidia shares climbing more than 5 percent following the announcement.

According to earnings figures released on Wednesday, the company generated approximately 60 percent more revenue compared to the same period last year, demonstrating explosive growth in the AI sector. The company's current valuation now exceeds $4.5 trillion based on outstanding shares.

CEO Addresses AI Bubble Concerns

Nvidia founder and CEO Jensen Huang directly responded to growing concerns among Wall Street analysts about a potential AI bubble during the earnings call. "There's been a lot of talk about an AI bubble," Huang acknowledged. "From our vantage point, we see something very different."

Huang explained that companies globally are transitioning from classical computing systems relying on CPUs to AI-powered infrastructure requiring graphics processing units (GPUs), which represents Nvidia's core specialty. He emphasized that this fundamental shift, combined with rapid software adaptation to AI capabilities and the emergence of AI "agents" capable of autonomous computer work, creates sustained demand.

"Nvidia is chosen because our singular architecture enables all three transitions across every phase of AI," Huang stated confidently.

China Market Challenges and Future Outlook

The company faces significant headwinds in the Chinese market, where sales have stalled due to geopolitical tensions. Chief Financial Officer Colette Kress revealed that H-20 GPUs specifically designed for China generated only $50 million in revenue during the quarter.

"Sizable purchase orders never materialized in the quarter due to geopolitical issues and the increasingly competitive market in China," Kress explained during the earnings call.

Despite these challenges, Huang stressed the strategic importance of competing in China, noting that "to establish a sustainable leadership position in AI computing, America must win the support of every developer and be the platform of choice for every commercial business, including those in China."

The company projects even stronger performance in the current quarter, forecasting revenue of approximately $65.0 billion, nearly $3 billion more than Wall Street analysts had predicted.

Nvidia's success story continues with major partnerships announced during the period, including collaborations with OpenAI to deploy at least 10 gigawatts of systems for next-generation AI infrastructure, while Anthropic will adopt one gigawatt of compute capacity using Nvidia's latest systems.
