The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DR Congo) has officially published the names of 44 African countries whose citizens are eligible to apply for its eVisa in 2026. The announcement was made on the government's official website, which also includes a sample image of the approved eVisa to guide applicants.
Key Details of the DR Congo eVisa
The DR Congo eVisa is valid for 90 days from the date of issuance. Travellers must clearly state the purpose of their visit when applying. The government emphasized that the eVisa will expire exactly 90 days after approval, regardless of the date of entry.
List of Eligible African Countries
The following 44 African countries are eligible for the DR Congo eVisa: Algeria, Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Comoros, Côte d'Ivoire, Djibouti, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritania, Mauritius, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, São Tomé and Príncipe, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

Alongside the list, DR Congo shared a sample of the approved eVisa to help applicants recognize the official document. The government stressed that applicants must provide the reason for their travel before the eVisa can be approved.
Comparison with Other Visa Policies
In related news, Georgia recently released its own list of African countries eligible for visa-free entry in 2026. Citizens of Botswana, Mauritius, South Africa, and Seychelles can enter Georgia without a visa and stay for up to one year, provided they comply with immigration rules.
