EDEN Group Launches EDNI to Empower Farmers, Boost Rural Incomes
EDEN Group Unveils EDNI to Boost Agriculture and Health

In a strategic move to combat Nigeria's escalating economic challenges, the Eden Moringa Group has officially introduced a new agricultural and marketing venture aimed at uplifting rural communities.

EDNI Limited: A New Platform for Empowerment

EDNI Limited was unveiled to the public on Sunday, December 23, 2025, in Abuja. The platform is designed as an agriculture-driven marketing and empowerment initiative. Its core mission is to provide direct support to farmers, widen the availability of essential health and agricultural goods, and ultimately enhance earnings in rural areas.

Dr. Michael Ashimashiga Akologa, the Founder and Group Chief Executive of the Eden Group, presented the new entity. He explained that EDNI was born from the urgent need to address the triple threats of rising unemployment, severe economic hardship, and the overwhelming pressure on the nation's healthcare infrastructure.

Addressing Wealth Concentration and Building on Solid Ground

Dr. Akologa pinpointed a fundamental issue in Nigeria's economy: the concentration of wealth away from the ordinary citizens, especially those engaged in primary production like farming. EDNI is structured to counteract this by enabling participants to earn income directly through the distribution and marketing of vital products.

A key differentiator for EDNI is its foundation on an existing production base. Unlike many standalone marketing platforms that have faltered, EDNI is anchored by its parent organisation, the Eden Moringa Group. The group already operates extensive moringa farms and processing facilities across several regions in Nigeria.

According to Akologa, the group's operations are significant, with over 500 hectares of moringa under cultivation. This agribusiness activity already provides employment for numerous farmers and workers within multiple communities, giving EDNI a tangible and sustainable supply chain to build upon.

Focus on Inclusive Wealth Creation

The initiative is built on three pillars: agriculture, value addition, and inclusive wealth creation. It specifically targets farmers and rural dwellers who frequently miss out on government support programs and opportunities for formal employment.

By leveraging the group's established network and production capacity, EDNI Limited aims to create a practical, locally-driven model for economic participation. This approach seeks to not only distribute products but also to ensure that wealth generated from agricultural value chains remains within and benefits the producing communities.
