Golden Penny Rewards Dealers, Launches 500g Penne Pasta

Golden Penny Foods, a subsidiary of Flour Mills of Nigeria (FMN), has awarded top-performing distributors and introduced a new pasta variety during its 2026 Business-to-Consumer (B2C) Dealers and Sales Conference held in Lagos. The event, themed “Reset, Rebound, Win Big,” convened dealers, management, sales executives, and key stakeholders from across the nation to evaluate business performance, strengthen partnerships, and outline growth strategies for the coming year.

Conference Highlights and Leadership Remarks

Taking place at Balmoral Hall, Ikeja, the conference featured speeches from top executives. Managing Director Devlin Hainsworth emphasized the critical role of the dealer network in Golden Penny's success and market leadership. “If you go the length and breadth of Nigeria, you will find a Golden Penny product in most households, but we could never have achieved that without our dealers. They work tirelessly every day to ensure our products reach wholesalers, retailers and ultimately Nigerian families,” he stated.

Hainsworth noted that many dealer relationships span decades, transcending mere commercial partnerships. He explained that the annual conference serves as a platform to acknowledge dealer contributions, deepen collaboration, and align strategies for future growth.

Sales Director for B2C, Ademola Adeoye, reiterated the company's commitment to strengthening its distribution network through substantial investments in logistics and redistribution infrastructure. “We have almost 2,000 secondary sales points across Nigeria attached to our distributors. This year, we are investing close to N45 billion in redistribution infrastructure to support our dealers and improve product movement from warehouses to wholesale and retail channels,” he said.

A key highlight of the conference was the unveiling of Golden Penny Penne 500g, the newest addition to the company's pasta range. The product features a ridged texture designed to hold sauces more effectively, offering an improved flavour experience for consumers.

Director of Marketing for the Food Division, Ilyas Kazeem, stated that the launch reflects Golden Penny's dedication to innovation and responsiveness to changing consumer preferences. “For over six decades, Golden Penny has remained committed to nourishing families and bringing happiness to Nigerians through quality products. The launch of Golden Penny Penne reflects that promise and our commitment to meeting evolving consumer needs,” he said.
