NALDA Reiterates Commitment to Transform Nigeria's Agricultural Sector
The Executive Secretary of the National Agricultural Land Development Authority (NALDA), Engr. Cornelius Adebayo, has strongly reaffirmed the Authority's unwavering commitment to revolutionizing Nigeria's agricultural landscape. This declaration was made during a capacity building workshop held in Abuja for State Coordinators from all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Strategic Vision and Alignment
Engr. Adebayo emphasized the critical need for state coordinators to fully embrace the federal government's 2031 Strategic Vision. He charged them with ensuring that NALDA effectively delivers on its statutory mandate, which is centered on achieving national food security and sovereignty. The workshop, themed "Steering NALDA Towards Excellence: From Vision To Abundance, Creating Strategic Alignment To Drive Results and Scale Impact," was specifically designed to align all coordinators with the management's vision.
This alignment is intended to foster synergy and ensure the diligent implementation of NALDA's various initiatives and projects across the country. Adebayo highlighted that the retreat follows a similar session held recently for directors and heads of departments, underscoring the importance of connectivity between headquarters and field operations to avoid structural issues.
Role of State Coordinators
As NALDA's primary field officers, the state coordinators are entrusted with the execution of the Authority's projects within their respective jurisdictions. Adebayo stressed that they are at the forefront of turning NALDA's agricultural transformation plans into reality. He urged the coordinators to depart from the retreat with a renewed mindset, recognizing their pivotal role in what he described as "a new beginning to transform Nigeria's agricultural sector."
In his closing remarks, Adebayo inspired the team by stating, "Nigeria is waiting for you. Together, we can build the Nigeria of our dreams, and NALDA is at the centre of achieving that." This call to action reinforces the collective effort required to drive significant change and impact in agriculture, positioning NALDA as a key player in national development.
