Resida, a property technology startup focused on transforming the rental experience in Nigeria, has officially launched its all-in-one housing platform designed to simplify how Nigerians search for homes, pay rent, and manage property-related services.
Addressing Rental Challenges
The platform enters the market at a time when renters across major cities continue to face challenges ranging from fraudulent property listings and fragmented rental processes to poor tenancy record management and limited access to reliable maintenance services. Resida seeks to address these challenges by bringing multiple housing services into a single digital ecosystem.
Through the platform, users can search verified and inspected properties, apply for both short-let and long-term rentals, make secure rent payments, and access trusted artisans for repairs and maintenance.
Founder's Vision
Speaking on the launch, Founder of Resida, Ilemobayo Kings Ayejuni, said the company was created to tackle longstanding inefficiencies within Nigeria’s rental market. “Renting in Lagos has never had the infrastructure it deserves. For too long, the rental experience has been stressful, fragmented and built on trust gaps. We built Resida because tenants, agents and landlords deserve a process that is transparent, secure and simple, from the first property search to rent payment and ongoing maintenance,” he said.
Tools for Landlords and Property Managers
Beyond serving renters, the platform also provides landlords and property managers with tools to improve operational efficiency. These include tenant verification services, automated rent collection, financial reporting features, and maintenance request tracking systems.
According to the company, Resida is currently active in more than 15 locations across Lagos, with a growing inventory of verified properties available to prospective tenants.
Technology in Housing Sector
The launch reflects the increasing role of technology in addressing challenges within Nigeria’s housing sector, as property technology firms continue to develop digital solutions aimed at improving housing access, transparency, and property management.
Available on Android, iOS, and web platforms, the Resida app enables users to discover verified properties, submit rental applications, manage rent payments, maintain tenancy records, and connect with trusted service providers, all from a single platform designed to make renting easier, safer, and more efficient.
